About the author:
Carole Hailey completed the six-month Guardian/UEA novel-writing course with Bernardine Evaristo who was so inspirational that Carole abandoned her twenty-year career in law to study first an MA, then a PhD in Creative Writing. Carole’s debut novel, The Silence Project, was shortlisted for the Royal Society of Literature Christopher Bland Prize, and was a BBC Radio 2 Book Club Pick, a Waterstones Welsh Book of the Month and an Independent Booksellers Book of the Month. Scenes from a Tragedy is her second novel. She lives in Wales with her husband and two dogs.

If you can't make the event anymore after you've booked do let us know. If you tell us 24 or more hours before the event we will be able to refund your ticket price minus the processing fee that Shopify charges us for the original transaction.
