About the book:

Grief is a Feeling captures the complexity of grief by bringing together 24 different voices, each sharing their different experiences of grief. From mourning a person, a pet, a relationship, or a life you could have had, grief reveals itself as multi-layered emotion that connects us all.

About the contributors:

Iris Sturm is a Dutch-Spanish writer with an inclination for poetic prose and theatre scripts. In Grief is a Feeling she has chosen a selection of poem-leaning explorations of her mixed encounters with grief: from the loss of her mother, to finding herself quarantined in covid immediately after traveling south east asia and australia, to feeling a lack of control over her adhd brain or having a hard time accessing her emotions after trauma. It hopes to be a modest and truthful bearing of her emotions in an attempt to understand herself better and hopefully, have others with similar feelings find some -however fleeting- solace in finding their feelings put into words.

Emily Merritt-Moore works as a videographer and editor, as well as in retail, after graduating from the University of the West of England with a filmmaking degree in 2022. She now lives with her best friend, and has a wonderful friend group and work life. She lost her mum, Joanna, at age 13, which she decided early on would not define her. With the help of a great therapist and a loving supportive family, the connection to her mum’s memory has never been stronger. Grief has been at the focal point of many creative endeavours over the years, but this is the first time Emily’s work will be published.

Mogwyn Leigh is a writer based in South Wales with this anthology marking their first publication. Their work moves between themes, following the ideas and images that refuse to stay quiet for long. Outside of writing, they can usually be found outdoors, crafting, gaming, or drinking more coffee than strictly necessary. You can find them at @mogwyns_words

Jasmin Batler is a writer, publisher, producer and behind all things Normal Girl! You can find her at @jasminproducesstuff
