About the book:
Edited by Helen Docherty, this picture book combines extracts from the works of Dylan Thomas that centre on his recollections of Cwmdonkin Park, Swansea. A boyhood adventure like no other, Dylan’s words serve to bring to life the period, the environment and the very essence of what it is to be a child with a child’s imagination.
About the author:
Helen Docherty is an internationally published children’s author. Her work, which includes the award-winning picture books The Snatchabook and The Knight Who Wouldn’t Fight, has been translated into 27 languages. Her books have been read on CBeebies Bedtime Stories and staged as plays and musicals in the UK, Germany and Canada. Helen lives in Swansea with Thomas, their two daughters and a dog called Tesni.
About the illustrator:
Thomas Docherty writes and illustrates his own stories, as well as illustrating books by other authors, including his wife Helen Docherty, Julia Donaldson and Jenny Colgan. His work has been nominated for many awards, including the prestigious Kate Greenaway medal. Thomas and Helen’s award-winning picture book The Snatchabook (Alison Green Books) is an international bestseller.

We are wheelchair accessible. We have a tempory ramp we can put out to get in over the small step and once inside the shop floor is even.
